The snow season is just about in full swing and Myoko is welcoming all skiers and boarders back to the slopes. With the recent snowfall, the base is growing and ski resorts are opening from mid-December. All of our rental equipment is available for use and our experienced guides are ready to take you on a tour of the area! There are still a handful of spots left on our Central and Northern Odyssey tours and in the Powder Recon Lodge and Kogen House Apartment accomodation.
As you may have heard, we're looking at beginning our Cat Operations from next season (2023/2023) with a brand new tour dedicated to both Cat and side/back country touring.
For those who want to get a little taster this season (2022/2023) Powder Recon in conjunction with Thunderbird is offering Cat tours at the small ex-resort of Panorama just opposite Myoko Kogen station. This Cat tour is suitable for beginner to intermediate skiers/snowboarders and gives you the experience of access to the side/back country in a much more controlled environment.
The chairlifts may not be operating, but that hasn't stopped the guides heading out for a cheeky hike and skin.
This year we're also offering backcountry equipment for hire to our clients and the Myoko public. A handful of advanced tours will have complimentary gear included.
We've got all our normal services back up and running with the Coffee shop opening from 20th December. We'll keep you updated with the snow throughout the season!
