As the premier tour provider in Myoko our inside line will get you on the mountain and to the best runs first. Myoko Kogen (Akakura Onsen Village) is one of the oldest and best Japanese ski resorts around and delivers an authentic Japanese experience while at the same time, providing all the necessities you would expect of a small ski resort town.

This town is different to your typical western style ski resort village and après ski activities do not incorporate loud, grungy bars. The absence of a western market means the absence of western influenced infrastructure, amenities and crowds. As a result après ski activities are generally quieter with the focus more on relaxation, such as enjoying one of the towns various onsens or partaking in a few sakes with friends in one of the village’s izakayas (small bars to drink sake/beer and order tapas style food).

The centre of the village comprises a main street that dissects the town, with small shops, cafes and restaurants either side. Here you’ll find ramen (noodle) shops, izakayas, ski/board rental shops, coffee shops, gift shops as well as the odd karaoke bar.
